Pete Spear
Operations, Business Development
Prior to joining the eScreened team, Pete Spear was an Associate focusing on execution for equity capital raise and M&A transactions, in the digital media / internet space. Pete was instrumental in closing approximately $175 million in private equity, venture and M&A transactions over two years. Before Cascadia Capital he was a senior sell-side equity analyst for Delafield Hambrecht in Seattle covering the technology space in the Pacific Northwest region. At Delafield Hambrecht, Pete was ranked the #1 equity analyst for the internet software and services space by Forbes/Starmine in 2005. Prior to Delafield Hambrecht he was a Senior Consultant for Accenture, working in the Communications/High Technology practice with clients such as Microsoft, AT&T Wireless, Telus and Verizon.
Jim Torelli
Technology
Jim Torelli leads our network, development, support, and QA teams. He brings more than a decade of software-engineering experience to eScreened, with a focus on designing, implementing, and deploying scalable network-based applications and databases. Before joining eScreened, Jim co-founded and served as vice president of research and development for Eyealike (formerly ActiveSymbols), an industry leader and innovator in visual search. Prior to Eyealike, Jim served for more than seven years as a senior delivery consultant at Logicalis, a global technology solutions firm. A proven leader and veteran of technology-driven start-ups, he has extensive experience in all phases of the product-development cycle.
Carlin Pressnall
Design
Carlin Pressnall is responsible for the overall look and feel of the eScreened site, from branding to user interface. She also oversees our design and user experience teams. As a freelance designer and project manager, Carlin has designed and built Web sites, created logos, and produced collateral materials for clients including The Cobalt Group, J.D. Power and Associates, REI, and Microsoft, among others. Pressnall worked as a lead Web designer for The Seattle Times for nearly six years, creating graphics, layouts, and award-winning special-project sites—including a Pulitzer finalist—for seattletimes.com. Her passion for clean, accessible design ensures that a great user experience is at the core of everything we do.
